Maquoketa Valley School is comprised of four attendance centers. The three elementary centers are located in Delhi, Earlville and Hopkinton. The Delhi elementary houses a junior kindergarten through sixth grade program. The Earlville elementary is kindergarten through sixth grade. Johnston elementary in Hopkinton provides kindergarten through sixth grade. The Junior High and Senior High are located in Delhi.

Co-Curricular activities include annual, baseball, basketball, cheerleading, concert band, concert choir, cross country, dramatics, drill team FFA, football, German Club, Spanish Club, jazz band, marching band, National Honor Society, National Thespian Society, newspaper, Quill and Scroll, softball, student council, swing choir, track and field, volleyball and wrestling.

Special student services are offered through Chapter I Reading program, Resource Teaching program or Special Class with Integration. Special needs beyond the scope of Maquoketa Valley staff are met through Area Education Agency specialists. A Talented and Gifted Program is available.

The most recent Maquoketa Valley average composite score for ACT examination was 23.0. Maquoketa Valley typically has from three to five seniors win the "State of Iowa Scholar" award annually.
