We're delighted to know you're interested in learning more about the Maquoketa Valley Community School District. Maquoketa Valley is a district of approximately 1,000 students in grades Junior Kindergarten through twelve with an excellent student/teacher ratio of approximately 13 to 1. When we include our teacher associates who help our teachers with the instructional process, that student/teacher ratio drops even lower to 11 to 1.

Our quality teaching staff works hard to ensure that our students achieve as close to their potential as possible and our standardized test scores bear that out. We're not only proud of our academic achievements, but our broad array of co-curricular activities as well. Our music, speech and drama activities are outstanding and our assorted athletic teams boast numerous conference championships as well as state tournament participation.

In addition to quality academic and co-curricular programs, Maquoketa Valley is proud of its modern facilities. We've completed a building project with a new K-5 elementary in Earlville, a new K-5 elementary in Delhi, a new 6-8 middle school in Delhi and a six classroom addition to our High School. We have also updated our softball, baseball, and little league complex through a partnership with the city of Delhi, MV Athletic Boosters, and Delhi Little League.

Maquoketa Valley has been on the cutting edge of technology for over ten years. Our patrons have approved and renewed an Instructional Support program which has resulted in state of the art computer technology in all of our buildings. We now have approximately one computer for every four students and a staff that is being continually trained as to how to best use this new technology in their classrooms.
